Bills and DT Kyle Williams agree to a 6-year extension with a max value of $39 million, including $17 million guaranteed.

Some serious cheese for someone who appeared destined as a career backup DT. Credit to him for putting in the work and now he is reaping the rewards.

Congrats to Kyle. An example of how hard work pays off.

 He started three years at LSU, was all-SEC and All-American and has started since his NFL rookie year in Boston and has played in the Pro Bowl. I don't follow your logic.

Yeah, he's the definitely best player on the Bills team. They were smart to lock him up.

Always thought his arms would be too short for the NFL... Guess not. You don't see him getting much press. Would he get more if he weren't a low-key white guy? (If ESPN can ask "What if Vick was white?" I can ask "What if Williams was black?")

He was drafted in the 5th round by rhe Bills, which for a DT especially means you are fighting for your life to make a roster spot (just ask Al Woods). Everybody thought he was too small to play the position in the NFL.

You make it sound like he was a stud coming out of college that teams were drooling over.

He never played in Boston. In fact nobody does.

Lay off the bong, as SabanFan would say.

Boston and Buffalo both start with a B and both are on the East coast.

Red had a senior moment or a trip back to the '70s.

Not everybody or he wouldn't have been drafted.

You make it sound like he wasn't all-SEC and all-American, and nobody ever heard of him. He played next to Claude Wroten who got more ink, but close observers always knew that Williams was just as good, perhaps better. Where is 3rd-round pick Wroten now? Trying to make it in the CFL.
