Kyle Clark an offensive tackle from Texas has committed to Texas Tech. This guy we really wanted , our staff has to be a little disappointed. Very few outstanding OT's in our sights at this time. Hope a big one gets hooked we need one 5*
Bummer, Chris Faulk, Carneal Ainsworth & Patrick Lewis are Louisiana boys that are Tackle & Guards. If their grades are good hopefully we can get them. The others I see listed are from mostly far off places..
Never heard much about Clark being a favorite of the coaching staff but we are in the running for some big names to go along with the LA guys. 4* John Martinez and Su'a Filo (Utah) will visit this summer. 4* Anthony LaLota (NJ) 4* Johnnie Farms (GA) is the one I think we have the best shot at. NR Chris Freeman (OH) Faulk will have to work on qualifying 1st.
I wish the coaches luck with those outa state players, we can never have to many good tackles. Seems the farther away they are the less chance we have of getting them but this is a new year & recruiting is going great so far. :geaux:
Not saying any of these are locks by any means but remember Crowton has some pull over in Utah and surrounding areas and Georgia is not a reach by any means with the talent we have pulled from there.
Apparently we've cooled on Martinez, and I never heard anything about Clark being a guy we really wanted.
