Born in FL...and he is definately heading out of California. We're doing good just to be in it with him, his other schools are either in Florida or heavily involved with family (CU).

Staley just committed to Oklahoma St. He had tried to commit to LSU, but he still wanted to take visits so the coaches told him no. Even now that he's committed, he still wants to take visits so we're not out of it.

I think we could get him if we put a strong push, but the staff had Staley & Jerico Nelson pretty much even on their board anyway so we may prefer to just go that route. Both are great athletes that can play RB or DB. My guess is we take them as a RB if we miss on Scott (and may be moved down the line), a DB otherwise.

Sounds like married men......want a secure spot and won't leave unless they have "Another" to go to. :hihi:

I don't know why Ok St. would take Staley if the ONLY reason he isn't a Tiger is because of the no-visit rule. Isn't that just asking to have him de-commit later after he's taken all his visits?

Oklahoma St is willing to take their chances. They weren't about to turn down his commitment - he's too good of an athlete for them to pass on; so they'll take the risk that he decommits after some visits, but I'd say there's a good chance he ends up signing with them anyway.

Staley would be a better catch than Landry.

Looks to me like he has committed to Oklahoma State.

If Landry had good grades he would be higher rated. He is a great RB, but their is a good chance that he will spend 1-2 years in JUCO.

I brought back an old thread. At the time this thread first came about, Staley had tried to commit to LSU.
