I already brought up that it was Miles who brought in C baby but what about our "Co-DC's". He's readily admitted to not being trustworthy- indirectly. Remember him saying he didn't find a way to involve Shep more in games year before last? People were complaining but told empty shyt like, "Oh, Miles is at the practices, he sees/he knows." Apparently in this case, for one, he didn't so let's not act like someone has to have the title of Hd Coach at LSU to raise vailid criticisms.

Not everything is black & white. I like a lot of things about Miles but doesn't mean I won't question him and it's certainly not always cause I believe I know better.

Yeah he brought in Crowton but we did win the :crystal: that year. And then we got horrible on offense afterwards but still. And your right anyone can criticize Les, but he is the leader, we can complain about it but at the end of the day its his deciscion so the best thing to do in my opinion is to give him the benefit of the doubt until we see what Krag can do.

And a lot of that was to do with landing in a situation in which we didn't have anyone ready to get on the field to play QB and from a coach's standpoint I can see where they were in a pickle- no fault of their own.

I am of the opinion that whatever level Krag is on it will only be elevated with the talent on our team, I just so badly want to see fluid offensive drives on a consistent basis.

I'm not in a panic and I'm not anti-Krag (whatever his name is) it's just that I feel the need to respond with posts that have teeth to get people's attention to what we DO know in search of what we should expect.

Take my boy SF below. I ask him to share what makes him comfortable so not having a clue, he tries to spin it into his favorite thing (which I actually enjoy reading when he does btw) and turn it on me like I'm anti-Krag (I think is his name) yet gave no real reason for me not to raise question(s), in fact, gave me MORE reason TO.

It's sadly to the point that I even had to defend CW's coaching accomplishments- as much as I don't care for him. Someone compared him to Krag (I'm going to go ahead and just call him that) and to me CW has had an awful lot of highs to go with his lows. He's also worked under some of what I believe most would accept as THE BEST.

A coach can only do so much. He can teach the player and try to explain the right way to do things. The player has to exucute on the field. Crowton could not get results from jj. The true test next season will be if krag can get jj to play at a constant high level. Jj responds positively to krag and the offense does well. Krag is a hero. Jj stinks it up again and krag is a goat. Until jj is no longer qb they will be tied at the hip. If I were in his shoes I would rather start fresh with mett. I don't think miles will put in an unproven qb in over a senior 3year starter. I hope jj comes through next year for both himself and krag. Jj has played through good and bad times and hopefully krag can help him make his senior season a championship one but I would be very nervous if I were krag knowing how the fan base will be if jj doesn't respond positivly

I haven't posted any words resembling "Irregardless" in any thread. Also I know who was coaching the game. Keiland Williams, JoJo Lafell & Colt David did the majority of scoring. Sad that you don't know who recruited & signed these players. Saban was gone January '05, so you won't fail as badly in the future.

It's in Notre Dame's 2010 Media guide as their Worst Bowl Loss. But then only you would think 38 points is more than 41 points.

He was FIRED because he FAILED just as you are FAILING. And his lack of ability to develop rapport with kids, assures his failure at Florida.

I hope Krag doesn't hold a candle anywhere near Weiss, he might lose a finger to Chew-Chew Charlie.

Mett can be brought into games to get the feel and speed of the game and by mid season, he should be able to take over if he is that good. Have a feeling that he is.

I just tossed that out to the forum as an aside to the epic spelling thread. Ha ha...you know, a lil joke.

There's a lot more to winning a game than just the ones crossing the goal line and that's without even mentioning the other side of the ball and having to keep them from doing so.

You think a 27 point margin is worse than a 38 point deficit AND being shut out. Believe half of what you read and nothing Domers write. And again, they scored twice what many teams did on us that year so I'd say they were much better than average by your standards of measurement.

According to your interpretation of "things", maybe.

There's a huge difference between a hd coach and an ass't coach possessing that quality. In fact, it's a great combination (in my opinion a necessary one) to have some ass kickers AND some feel good coaches on the same roster. C'mon, surely you knew THAT.

Just so you know, I don't care fo Chew-Chew.

The best thing and really the only thing one can do with failure is learn from it, get better and don't make the same mistakes twice. Bill Belichick failed in his 1st HC gig in Cleveland and in his 1st year in NE before becoming argueably one of the greatest coaches in NFL history. It's entirely possible that Krag can do the same with his experiences at Louisville(the learning part, not the 3 SBs). IMO we should at least let him coordinate his first game before we call it a bad hire. Be positive. Most were screaming for Crowton's head. He's gone. Let's give the new guy a chance. GEAUX TIGERS!
