    Miles vs. Weiss:

    LSU 41 Notre Dame 14

The Worst loss in Notre Dame Bowl history.

Weiss was fired because he put up the worst winning percentage at Notre Dame since 1944.

Apparently his Super Bowl Rings didn't help him or Brady Quinn who was massacred by LSU. Quinn had to taken away from the others NFL draftees during NFL Draft day.

Thank goodness "Krag is no Weiss".

Notre Dame was so outmanned in that game it wasn't even funny. I'm not sure that proves Weis isn't a good OC, just like Kragthorpe's HC record doesn't mean he isn't a good OC.

FWIW I don't know what to expect next season. I'm just not sure HC success is the best indicator.

Because he couldn't coach defense his Notre Dame teams failed. His offense wasn't that great vs LSU, but then again, let's give credit to LSU because we had a legit defense that year

First of all it may be more accurate to say Saban vs. Weiss there but regardless (there is NO SUCH word IRregardless btw) that's twice as much as most offenses scored against our D that year so I guess no team in the SEC had HC's worth a hoot but we're talking about OC's.

    Points teams scored against us:
    Auburn 7
    Tulane 7
    Mississippi St. 17
    Florida 23
    Kentucky 0
    Fresno St. 6
    Tennessee 24
    Alabama 14
    Mississippi 20
    Arkansas 26

Only an LSU fan would say that. They lost to Michigan the following year 38-0.

No, he was fired because he isn't head coaching material and doesn't know how to foster "team" and doesn't know how to develop rapport with kids but make no mistake, he DOES KNOW offense.

I don't blame you for trying to spin this to anything besides Krag vs. Weiss btw. List Krag's notable accomplishments- he doesn't hold a candle to Weiss.

No lie there. Teams averaged 12 points per game on us. Weiss was above average there too. :hihi:

Ummm...I'm confused. Isn't this a thread about Krag's ineptitude? How did we get on Jabba the Weiss?

Not that this thread had any real credibility to begin with...besides fostering fear and doubt in the already fearful and doubtful.

I WILL say this, though...we heard all about how bad Chavis was when he was hired. Remember "third and Chavis"?

The worst thing is, this conversation or subject at least, will be speculated on for the next 8 months. Doesn't that sound fun? The guy probably hasn't even gotten his purple and gold gear yet and the sky is already falling.

It's the usual cast of characters. They'll never be satisfied.
