Killing on LSU Campus?

CNN is reporting a home invasion type killing in an LSU Dorm.

LSU is holding a presser in a few minutes at 11:00 am.

 

I was one of the students that signed up for the emergency text messaging system that LSU put into place after the Virginia Tech incident and I did not receive a text. LSU sent out an email this morning saying they're looking into why some people didn't get it. Did anyone else sign up for it and actually get a text?

LSU can expect a PR situation with not locking down the campus. I don't care if it was a home invasion/robbery or whatever. It was ON campus. After what happened at VT there is no excuse for not taking every precaution, final exams or not.

There are a lot of international students at LSU, what if it is a loose cannon/racist who can't handle the Jindal era.

Regardless, play it safe and LOCK down campus. Its 2007 for pete's sake. The world is EFFED up

I lived across from an Egyptian Muslim between 2002-2004 in the Nicholson apartments. He did not volunteer any information critical of the US, but when pressed... let's say it was a different story.

You would think LSU would be able to clean up the neighborhoods within a half mile from campus by now. All of Roosevelt is pretty rough.

 

Correct. About 2 blocks away from where Jindal's transitional offices in Kirby Smith is located.

Believe it or not, the area at the north gates of campus had slowly been getting better.
