Just like the curse upon the Red Sox for trading Babe Ruth...there is a curse upon the volunteers for Fulmer's forcing Johnny Majors out following his hospitalization.

The fact that Tennessee has had no integrity since then (Fulmer cup...now Kiffen/Orgeron) is proof that the problems are probably much higher in the university than the athletic director.


(Or it really is a curse.)

My point I was trying to make in my post above is that the problems are reflective of an institutional dysfunction...it's greater than the Kiffen/Orgeron regime...it includes the AD...but it goes all the way up to the president of the University (who's ultimately responsible).

Ever since Johnny Majors got hustled out by Fulmer, what you see is what you get as far as the "Tennessee Brand" goes.

DRC, what does the general faculty think about this?

 

Have no idea. My uncle-in-law is in the AD office and he doesnt have much interaction with educational faculty. Thats not his role.

The President who orchestrated Fulmers ouster is gone. He had some personal issues especially with his wife. She was a slobbering drunk who embarrassed the office of President one too many times at one too many functions. It was known he was leaving when Kiffin was hired and had little input in the decision. I dont think they have a new President yet either.
