I agree completely with that. I'd say, more than Lee, Hatch exceeded my expectations, though. I know I was surprised.
I thenk Hatchar is not very good QBack for the SECofnrece. He barely mad the field for the spring game at HArdvard. Plus he went ona Moron mission and he is now like 22 so he is too old.
Yeah, because Matt Mauck was too old and no good as an athlete because he couldn't hit a curve. :geauxtige I know I don't post much, on here almost everyday though. I don't like to throw things out that have already been posted. But with an offense thats run based, alot of misdirection plays, screens, flat passes. You can run an offense that takes most pressure off a QB except for 2-5 plays a game. The skill positions are loaded enogh to still have that style of offense loaded, and with the safety check in Dickson, I still think this offense will be something to watch
Bring me around to what? Flynn sat behind the #1 overall draft pick. Hatch sat behind nobody. I'm not saying that Hatch has no talent, just that he isn't as talented as an LSU starter should be. Flynn & Russell both lost 2 games their final season with us. We didn't win the NC because we had Flynn at QB instead of Russell. Lee is clearly the more talented of the two, but at this point Hatch has the better grasp of the offense & is more mature. I think we'll see Hatch start the first two games & Lee start the rest of the season.
It's all going to come down to the chemistry of the offense. Will they have "it" or not? We were expecting an all-world QB, and now we have two total unknowns. It'll be interesting, if nothing else...
While QB is the most important single position, and we are unsure at QB (but we could be fine), I'm comfortable at every other position on offense. That's a good thing. I remember Hatch going in during the Bama game for a couple of plays, and he looked bad, dazed and confused. In that spot in the game, that's understandable, most folks would if they had to play without any experience or reps in practice. It's an interesting situation, not exactly where we thought or want to be, but its where we are. I expect competence, and if we're lucky, we'll get a little bit more out of Hatch and Lee. Win the west? We should be in the race. Will one of these guys be better than Marcus Randle? That's about the same situation we're in, but I think the rest of the team is better than the 04 team.
