If we see substantial rainfall before and during the game... how much will it effect the decision of Les to keep it simple and try to play the turn over game? I wanna see a wide open offense as much as everyone else, but if it's extremly wet neither team may throw much. On the flip side... This could help over all against a non running QB.
I think if that were to happen, the media would be lambasting Florida for allowing him to play when he was not fully recovered, rather than LSU. Either way, though, I wouldn't want to be a part of it.
#4 LOUD TIGER FANS! No matter what is going on on the field, good or bad, stay LOUD, stand behind our guys & show them that Saturday Night in Death Valley is NEVER "quiet"! Don't give them the satisfaction of saying "I told you so"! Continue to let the Coaches & the players know that we are behind them, that they are NOT fighting this one alone! :LSU231:
Linebackers are going to have to play a flawless game for us to win this one, and we need to dominate in time of possession.
I don't care whether Tebow plays or not, whether we blow them out or squeak by with a last second 1 point victory, so long as we win the game. And in case anybody hasn't noticed, our coach is telling the truth when he says he doesn't give a rat's ass about "style points", that's Mack Brown and Urban Meyer's thing. This is a team that often wins "ugly" aginst good teams. It used to piss me off and I'd get angry about the media not giving LSU respect becasue we don't beat good teams 52-17. But a win over #1, no matter how ugly or who plays or doesn't, is not anything that can be detracted from. There is no way in hell that LSU wins this game and doesn't come into next weeks polls any lower than #3 at worst, possibly #2. Florida will drop out of the top 5 but probably not lower than #10. That's fair as they will have lost to a top 5 team in the most hostile road environment in college football. I'm all good with that. Hope to see them in Atlanta in December. What we need to win are solid, mistake free football in all 3 facets of the game (obviously), contain Florida's ground game with their host of dynamic ball carriers, and get pressure up front on defense.
I don't think anyone is disagreeing with you at this point. From here on out a Win is a Win is a Win. But i think people were a little skeptical because we didn't look like a dominant team vs. UL Laf, or Vandy, or MS St. We looked dominant against UGA in the first half. From here on out, if we win 2-0 or 3-2 in every game, LSU should get the respect it deserves.
I am feelin Sheppard having himself a huge game. I saw a lot of him in position on the ball all day gainst the dawgs. He is increasingly getting better every game. With a wet field, he may just come unglued.
The o-line has to do a better job keeping the Fla. rush off of Jefferson. Good blocking for Scott/Williams will help. I think the D can hold up its end. Offensive efficiency will be the key. Improved play from the o-line is what the offense needs.
