You're the one cracking and flaking out when faced with the reality that the odds are stacked against us to win the West. Most people embrace the challenge, love underdogs, Cinderalla runs, overcoming the odds, battling tougher opponents rather than weaker ones, etc.
Bama always gets the easier schedule. I like our tougher schedule. Means more games broadcast on regular channels.
We've definitely got the balls to run a gauntlet schedule. Les might be crazy but he isn't scared to butt heads with any team out there. Gump kin are already talking shit. Woohoo! We're favored again. I'm like yeah. Hope Colorado state and Kentucky don't put up too much of a fight. Better have ESPNU or you'll miss half of your season. I think the tigers are gonna do just fine. Steel sharpens steel. Butter sharpens shit. I'd rather lose a close game to a quality opponent than blow out a lesser team anyday.
Not saying you're absolutely wrong, but none of that stopped us in 2011. We should have the horses for another run. I don't expect Georgia to be that much of a threat, especially not in September, as they generally hit their stride in October/November. Bama and Florida may give us trouble, but when you think back to last year, any offensive improvement at all wins those two games.
Five SEC teams will be in the pre-season top-10, four of whom will be ranked higher than LSU and LSU must play all four. As strong as I expect LSU to be, this will be a rebuilding year and it is unlikely that LSU can win all four games. Bama, A&M, Florida and Georgia each only have to play two of the Top-10.
