I think the key to LSU winning this weekend starts with the lineman.

Can LSU OL move bama's DL?
Can LSU OL give JJ a little time (will JJ step up from the shotgun thus creating a pocket and giving the tackles a chance to protect him?)
    Can T-Boy handle Cody?
Can LSU OL protect during field goal kicks?

Can the DL stop the run so we do not have to put 8 people in the box?
If we have to put 8 people in the box can Peterson shut down julio?
Will PP shadow julio all game?

LSU needs to throw on first down so as to keep JJ out of 2nd and 3rd and long. He seems to struggle when he has those situation.

LSU skill players need to catch the ball and secure the ball.

Special teams will need to be able to turn the field, can Helton do this?

Maybe i should have changed the heading to questions?
What are your keys to the game or questions you will be looking to get answered Saturday?

We need to run the ball successfully - that is how you keep out of 2nd and 3rd and long. Incomplete passes is how you set up 2nd and 3rd and long.

We will know if the offense is going to be successful within the first 10-15 plays. Whatever plays Miles has scripted for this game will have to give the offense a strong chance to get in a groove. Moving the ball consistently 3-4 yds/p will be key to giving the offense to opportunities it will need to move down the field. I think an attack that keeps the ball out of Bama's hands and gives us the t.o.p advantage will be a big key to this game. The less our D is on the field, the stronger they will be in the 4th quarter, a must to have an edge in this game.

    1. Stop the run. Make them pass the ball. We have better defensive backs.

    2. Run the ball. Make them stop the run and induce us to pass. We have better receivers.

    3. Set up the big kickoff return. Bama is absolutely lousy at it, #110.

    Great point
What is the chance Miles puts Trindon and RS back to field kick offs? Is RS to likely to fumble?

    This, plus:

    4) Mistakes (penalties and/or turnovers) will be key. If we don't give any away, I like our chances.

It's all about the running game. If we can establish the run, we are in great shape, and I mean great shape. Unfortunately, Jabba the Hut is right in the middle. If we can't run, JJ better be on his game for us to have a chance.

Score more points than them. Sorry, couldn't resist the urge. On a more serious note, I would say quick hitting plays of misdirection and quick passing. This will neutralize all the Saban cat and mouse games with switching defenses. Roll JJ early and often looking for his big receivers and Dickson. Give Ridley some touches early to see if he has better vision in the gaps.

Most importantly, no turnovers by the offense on the LSU side of the field. Our defense held Florida to 13 points. Can't see a reason that we should expect any different against the Tide's offense.

    My answers to your questions:

Can LSU OL move bama's DL? NO
Can LSU OL give JJ a little time Maaaaaaaybe
(will JJ step up from the shotgun thus creating a pocket and giving the tackles a chance to protect him?) Doubtful, this depends on the outcome of the above question.
Can T-Boy handle Cody? Not a snowballs chance in hell
Can LSU OL protect during field goal kicks? I think so

Can the DL stop the run so we do not have to put 8 people in the box? Yes

If we have to put 8 people in the box can Peterson shut down julio? Yes
Will PP shadow julio all game? Hopefully

LSU needs to throw on first down so as to keep JJ out of 2nd and 3rd and long. He seems to struggle when he has those situation. Agree

LSU skill players need to catch the ball and secure the ball. Yep

Special teams will need to be able to turn the field, can Helton do this? I think so

We all know saban will blitz from every nook and cranny and probably on every down. I hope the staff has planned for this and get some hot routes/quick slants/ RS on a QB draw. Running right at Cody is going to end badly. We have seen what Shep can do on the field, with that said will we see Ridley in the game??? I hope so but I'm not holding my breath. Bama can be beat and we have the team that can beat them but the game plan has to be stellar. I know our boys will be fired up and ready for the game I just hope the coaches don't send them to a gun fight with a water pistol.
