Do you realize that the winning TD (that shouldn't have been) was our first all year over 65 yards that was a sustained drive (more than 5 plays, let's say).

Are you wanting Crowton running the team?

I think the magic number is 3.

LSU has to win the turnover battle by no less than 3.

Make Gators go to the air to much.

We run the ball and pass when we want to.

turn overs! clean game for us! We have a 10 point lead with 1 min to go.

    J. Lee is allowed to play more than 60% of the time.

well, lets just say when i said "i dont think" its because i was trying to be nice. our offense needs all the advantage it can get.

that said, i am hoping lee plays more, and can get in a rhythm and drive the offense down the field!

    For the offense:

-Jarrett Lee must start, and we must get some downfield completions to open up the running game.
-Ball control. Our D is gonna get tired fast having to corral Demps and Burton. You've got to allow them time to rest and re-group and reduce their exposure by keeping Florida off the field. Bama did this by grinding Florida down with Ingram and Richardson, I hope we can do the same with Ridley.
    -No turnovers.
-Avoid "drive-killers" and what I mean by that is, a stupid false-start that turns 3rd and 2 into 3rd and 7, a busted assignment that gets blown up for a nine-yard loss that takes us out of field goal range, a dropped ball that would've been a sure first down, a great catch on 3rd and long but, alas, the receiver failed to extend his route by just a yard and a half to pass the sticks, gotta cut it all out. This offense cannot afford to stub it's toe. Every play, every position battle, every inch counts. Crawl before you walk.

    For the defense:

-Containment on the outside. Do not let Demps and Burton beat you to the edge, no matter what. Good trailing pursuit for gang tackling and to guard against cutting back would also help.
-Ballhawkin'. Force turnovers. Brantley is gonna make an ill-advised throw at some point in this game and we need to make him pay dearly.
-3rd down. The offense needs to help, but the defense needs to do it's job as well. We've struggled at times winning 3rd down outside of the red zone. Florida was horrible on 3rd down against 'Bama. Stand tall, win 3rd down, and get off the field. Tebow ain't there no more, it should be a lot easier.

    Also:

-Win on special teams. I look at special teams as a huge edge for us in this game. If Jasper can stay clutch and Meyer has the audacity to kick it to Peterson, it can make a difference for us.
-Miles and Crowton need to get their crap together with end-of-game/hurry up situations. Here's a good idea; if under 1:30 with no timeouts, NEVER come out of no-huddle/hurry-up O. Just run like that, no matter what.

We play a good, solid, limited mistakes, football game, with Lee starting at quarterback and making good, safe throws to open up the rushing lanes, I think we can beat these guys. They are not as good as the last couple of years, not even close, and we are much better. I have yet to see anything that shows me they are any better a spread O than West Virginia. They play really dumb football at times, but so do we. Let's be smarter than them and win.

I hope to see Lee get the start. He put together a good drive late, that we had to have and really the only good offensive drive we have had this season. :/
