LB has been weakness for decades. This season has been a noticeable improvement and the future looks even brighter.

I don't see a scenario where Kevin Minter stays on for his senior season. Dude is playing like the best linebacker in the country right now.

Is it possible for you to make a post without being a dick?

For the record, I know what CS means by "quietly dominate". He's been the best player on one of the premier defenses in the country, yet he gets very little glory & recognition outside of his own fanbase.

Yeah except for being named SEC Defensive Player of the Week twice, receiving a Walter Camp Defensive Player of the Week award and being named a Dick Butkus finalist...nobody outside of LSU or its fanbase has a clue who this guy is.

Sadly, even with the accolades, it's still true that most people outside of the LSU fanbase know who he is. He's not a household name because the talking heads don't slob-know all over him like they do about whatever his name is from Notre Dame or Jenny Football. Of course, that is slowly starting to change, but only after 3/4 of the season is over.

I really didn't think I'd have to go to such great lengths to spell this out.

Point taken and sometimes you have to go to great lengths. Some of us just aren't all that bright or don't really pay attention to what the knob slobbing heads have to say anyways.

To put it into perspective, during the South Carolina game, Muffburger couldn't even pronounce "Minter" (an Anglo-Saxon name) correctly. He kept calling him Kevin "Mentor", despite the fact that his name was displayed on his jersey and on the screen. Now, I realize that Muffburger is a complete idiot and should probably have his lips sewn shut, but do you think he'd ever mispronounce the last name of a player from his beloved USC or any other media darling?? I doubt it.

I get what you are saying. I really don't give a rat's ass about what those tools have to say about anything. I like the external sounds of the game so I don't mute the game on TV, when announcers go to talking I put them on iggy.
