Kivin Minter on Saturday had 20 tackles, 3 TFL's & 2 sacks. the most tackles at LSU in a game in 30 years.

Why is he SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week with Matt Elam who had 7 tackles, and a forced fumble?

Take a look at the game Stats:

Normally don't care much about these weekly player awards, but this is the worst one I've ever seen.

Matt Elam is a beast, but no way he even came close to the performance that Kevin Minter had. He was obviously the best player on the field in that game Saturday. In fact, I wonder if Florida even scores if Kevin Minter doesn't come off the field.

I agree Minter got robbed. He was single handedly controlling Florida's offense. I bet the Florida's OC jacked off when he left the field. The few plays he went into the locker room were the difference in the game.

easily, in fact their entire scheme when Minter left was to exploit the middle.
