Is on Jordy right now and is ripping the NFL from a players association angle. Great interview.

Also said it was really tough sitting in the Vandy press box, having to root against the Tigers.

Seems like the big issue for the NFLPA is long-term medical coverage for their members after they are out of the league. And it sounds like they have a good argument. I think the owners should look at improving this, and try to get the players to give them a rookie salary cap in exchange.

Right, he was saying they only get 5 years after retirement, which is pretty crazy if you ask me. These guys smash their heads in, and the NFL which is raking in the money can only give them 5 years of coverage after they retire?

There needs to be a rookie salary cap, should have always been, it's crazy that rookies now get paid more than seasoned veterans.

Mawae said Roger Goodell keeps saying that the players and the owners are partners in this, but Mawae made the point that if they are partners, give them stock in the NFL or in the team they play for.

Kevin is a smart dude, and the NFLPA should hire him full time.
