They paid the guy like $200K, the lowest of all assistant coaches. Can’t do that crap if you want to keep good recruiting guys that can coach. Faulk deserves $500K minimum and watch them screw that up. You breaking for lunch on those slopes!
not sure that we'll know the real reason but the consensus is that he wasn't as elite a recruiter as he had been in the past and some concern about the player development behind CEH under robinson
I read that his contract expired (s) march 1st. As to why no attempt to resign him I don't know. Maybe he was looking for greener pastures or maybe O just wanted Kev at that spot and now was a great time.
Maybe Robinson was under paid, but overall, LSU is kinda known for paying their assistants well. Look at Aranda before he left. And not that they make 6 figures or anything, but I know our analysts are among the highest paid in the nation, compared to other schools. It does suck that not much effort that we know of was not put into retaining some of the coaches that left but you can't pay everyone top dollar and in some areas, we may have gotten a better coach then the one that left.
