Please DON'T have faith in what I think. Just STUDY the game. Only a fool would think that the LSU coaching staff wet themselves with total glee with the offensive play this game. I mean, really? Lots of "fan boys" who will dance as if on a string no matter what the team does. I'm not one of them. Never have and never will. Have you watched Wisconsin? Oklahoma? Alabama? Do you think we can have a misfiring offense with overly conservative offensive play selection and win? I didn't think so. Our coaching staff agrees, btw. They are working on it. And, yes, I'm looking FORWARD. I don't care if "we don't play but one of those teams". If we keep winning we will likely face two of the three... But I'm somewhat certain you "won't see it" as I'm not spitting kudos on every single aspect of the team and team play. As you were...
I didn't care for the boos, either. But fans can be rather shallow and that's all over and in every sport. And many people are rather simple, anyway, so I'm not surprised. They used to boo Jarrett Lee, too. Who knows what motivates their behavior. More importantly, it's nice to integrate him back into the team. He practiced as the leader of the offense. I don't think FL or AL ever doubted that he'd be back on the team if the felony charges were reduced. To what extent he'd play is something I think they are watching closely - more on how he's used. Again, I don't "fear" either QB if I'm a Defensive Coordinator. One is mobile the other is not. One has a decently strong arm with poor mechanics: feet too close together once he's set, not really set to move when in the shotgun. The other has poor mechanics and is less strong when it comes to throwing the ball. Win the line of scrimmage and the rest takes care of itself. Stack the line of scrimmage and make them throw will PROBABLY be the strategy. Then start putting pressure on the QBs with blitzes - delayed and otherwise. Now I'm hoping that (A) our OL can handle the DL and (B) our RBs can pick up the blitz whether it's from the inside or corner. This allows Jarrett to be calm and not throw into coverage. P.S. Scouting Wisconsin. They look extremely formidable. No blaring weaknesses. Awesome QB, receivers, RBs and OL. DL looking outstanding, too.
There's glass half empty guys and glass half full guys. You're a glass all the way empty guy. We didn't play great and won by 4 TD's. I'm much more concerned with all the dropped passes instead of Lee's throwing. Even with crazy wind he was still hitting the WRs for the large majority of the passes. Aside from one high pass to Shep and one high pass OBJ he was actually pretty accurate. I'm also not sure where you're getting him forcing passes. I saw him throw it away at least once this game. Also. Don't make the rapist comments. It's a disgrace to all the women that actually have been raped to joke about it in a situation that was nowhere near the same thing.
Nah, you're just a "fan boy" I'm okay with that. Both QBs are stupendous. Wisconsin, Oklahoma, Stanford and Alabama aren't playing very good football at all. I "get it." And the CONVICTION of sexual battery is far worse than kicking someone's arse for throwing a punch at him. To equate the two is laughable. That was for all of the negative comments towards JJ - who is no gr8 QB, either... Enjoy the day!
