Bring on them Gators!!! Great defensive game, TM7 is going to have another great game next week...show it.
i had kentucky on my parlay +30.5 points so I didn't mind the late kentucky score for the cover. lol eric
Great LSU Tiger win ! I would have liked to see ZMett throw some passes but I'll take it. ZMett needs to see some action this year to be ready for next.
Yes, I have. Despite the silly talk about both of our QBs we're not at all "out of the woods" with Jarrett Lee. He's not been pressured much and has been able to play okay with some fundamentals weaknesses. Hopefully, he can just throw it into the stands when seriously pressured as opposed to his (and JJ's "gunslinger" throw into double coverage tendencies of the past). We'll definitely see soon enough.
Not trying to poop on anybody's parade but LSU is still nowhere near playing to their potential IMO. Too many dropped passes, o-line was getting walked early, dropped INT's, J-Lee staying with his primary receiver. The throwing off his back foot showed much more today due to the wind. That pass to OD should have be over the shoulder TD but was basically a INT that the refs didn't overturn. Hopefully this was a "bad game" for Lee. He needs to play better. Looked very uncomfortable in the pocket at times. Play calling has to improve. Way too vanilla and won't fly if we expect to hang with better defenses. Defense looked much better, but we did play UK. Need to do a better job on the spy, and closing the cut back lanes, demps, Rainey, and Richardson will exploit the hell out if those lanes and holes. I'll take the win, we avoided injuries and a trap game, but still some concerns in my eyes. Enjoy the win (it may not seem like it but I am). I am just hoping for SEC & BCS championships this season and these issues truly concern me with our chances. GEAUX TIGERS!! --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=30.070189,-95.534907
We STILL don't have a stellar, confidence-inspiring passing game with Lee! I like the guy but you seem to be in love with the guy. He won't play in the NFL and neither will Lee. I'd like to see how much better JJ has become (lots of room for improvement). He may be just as good as Lee with better "wheels". If so, start him. If not leave it as it is. When Lee was pressured he ALWAYS became a "gunslinger" and just threw into coverage. He's not been under a lot of pressure and he's only thrown one INT. Good job for that metric but watching him QB does not give me too much confidence. Better than last year? Yes, but not by much. The OL and Running game makes it a helluva lot easier so either should be able to play well this season. I think Mettenberger would loook okay, too (despite him being a "rapist"... :rolleye33: - a shot at all of the negativity directed towards JJ for defending himself). Let's prepare for Florida.
I'm with you. I'll take the W over an L but if one objectively analyzes the game I don't see how they could come to any conclusion much different than yours. :thumb:
Did not like the boo's. Classless. I did see many standing (with body language that screamed... no not the finger or rude gesture, just arms crossed over chests, that kind of thing) and not yay'ing or boo'ing either one... sort of looked like a 'silent' protest of changing after JL took it all the way down the field. Maybe putting him in so soon was supposed to be a confidence booster for JJ. Makes bama and florida take notice that he's back.
