Dont follow this stuff much but I found out there is a horse trained by a big LSU fan in the Derby, Bob Black Jack. I will pull for him and I don't care what the odds are.

Bob Black Jack is a nice horse but not Derby winning caliber. I hate the Fact that OT called it earlier. Throw out the Bluegrass Stakes on the poly track. Pyro will be my bet. Actually I'm glad he ran horrible in Lexington -- now I'll get a number on him. Probabley 5-1 or better.

The best horse in the field is Big Brown. Not sure if he'll win and he will be the favorite (so throw him out) but what a talent. I think bringing him in late to Churchill will be the wrong move.

Longshot -- watch out for the filly Eight Bells if they decide to run her against the boys.

El Gato Malo doesn't have enough graded earnings and is a longshot to get in the race. Substitute Recapturetheglory. If you want a price, throw out the favorite Big Brown and take Colonel John in his place.

Dang, how did I miss this thread.

I'm going with Pyro, Tale of Ekati, and Big Brown.

I went to New Orleans to watch Pyro run in the Louisiana Derby, Amazing animal. He definitely has the final kick to win at this distance. He was badly boxed until midway down the stretch, but when the hole opened he busted through with little problems.

I am a little surprised that you got so little response Husker Ed. Horse racing is the only sport that I like as much as football. I own 4 horses (1 that is still racing), and am looking to buy a few more.

I own a share in a horse, and he's pretty good, but noting huge. He does run a couple of races every year at Pimlico, which is fun.

I used to follow the sport, but don't have time now...though I'm glad to know who to look out for next Saturday.
