the brooks hire looked like a desperation one at the time. uk had been turned down by several coaches, including bill parcells. barnhart (the uk ad) had ties to brooks from his time at oregon. brooks turned out to be the best thing that could have happened after the hal mumme days. hats off to him. he did it right. :thumb:
