I don't think a case a can be made for her not being a hypocrite. Just like Josh Duggar, preaching moral Christian values and then fingerbanging his little sisters and stepping out on his wife. You can't preach about the sanctity of marriage when you yourself have been married 4 times.
if i was calling you out it wouldnt be indirectly. i meant in general. and yes you can preach, pontificate, lecture about anything even if you do the opposite. its how fucked up most people are from ceos to politicians to clergy. it blows my mind daily.
Like going to gay bathhouses for anonymous group sex with multiple partners and calling out as someone else for 4 staight marriages.
From a friend of mine who is an attorney. "If you are agovernment official or employee, there is no 1st amendment right to refuse to perform the functions of your job or office. It's just that simple. Your choice is to perform your function or quit. When government officials refuse to do their jobs, a suit for mandamus to force them to do so is the proper remedy and courts have authority to issue an order directing the official to perform the function. Refusal to obey such an order is contempt of court and a court may jail the party in contempt to enforce compliance. Nothing new or novel about this concept or process. If the woman wants to be a martyr, she should just quit her job. She cannot lawfully "stand in the school house door". If she does, she will eventually be forced to yield or will be relieved of her duties."
If she resigned she couldn't be a martyr by going to jail. Maybe that's what she wanted. I don't know. You would think anybody would know they couldn't win in court. Utah has passed a law that allows a clerk who objects on religious grounds to allow another employee to handle the function of selling gay licenses. I don't see why they need a law for that to be the case but it's a good compromise. Maybe Kentucky law states that the clerk of court be the one to issue the license. Kim Davis's attorney has said that the licenses issued by other employees since his client was jailed are invalid.
christians do a lot of things. doesn't mean they know what they are doing. i swear a good 3/4 don't know their own religion. oh, and god is not jewish, whatever that means. jesus was jewish but that became irrelevant. just like judiasm (to salvation). again, the 10 commandments are irrelevant to christianity. before jesus, the torah was the way to salvation, 10 commandments and fattened calves, the whole shebang. now, all irrelevant. sorry, red. irrelevant. its as relevant as george I is to being an american today.
I have no idea what church you go to, but I have NEVER been to one in the 38 years I've been on this planet that sees Judiasm as irrelevant. The bible is the old and New Testament. They are intertwined. Jesus is the son of the Hebrew God. You go to one of those Jesus Incorporated churches don't you? And why do Christians in this country keep trying to get the 10 commandments put in schools and government buildings? Why do pastors still read from the Old Testament?
Depends on how you look at it. You have to start with acknowledging that Catholicism is the foundation and EVERYTHING else is protestant. Pretty sure the Nicean council decided what gospels were to be included/excluded from the Bible.
