They should hurry up and throw up a witty sign about the shootings at the navy yard this morning directed toward those who care about their dead loved ones. You know, becasue of their freedom of speech and all. And it would be hilarious!

Wait, no it wouldn't. It would be classless, embarrassing, and only prove that they are morally bankrupt. But it's their right to do it if they want to. Again, for the simple minded I'll reiterate - just because certain speech is protected by law and doesn't make it good to do or the right thing to do. And the problem that some of us have is that even though we went to school years ago and have no association with their frat, when people see it they associate LSU as being complicit in supporting it if nothing is done or said condemning it.

"Too soon". I'm sure you've heard/seen that expression used. There certainly is a difference between something that happened in 1970 and 2013. Hell I wasn't even aware of the Kent St. Massacre so the frat rats created some "awareness" of sorts.

    Seriously tiga?

I was under the assumption...or I thought you were involved in the educational system. Hell, I've missed things...but this is a BIG ONE.

You were born in the late '60's, early 70's, right?

Even after this year? You've been hammered pretty hard on here lately.

Gotcha. Something that happened 43 years ago is fair game. So what's the statute of limitations on making light of a tragedy where innocent people are killed? What about Sandy Hook, that's been 9 months? 9/11 was 12 years ago. Too soon to make sophmoric jokes directed towards those who lost people's losses?

They also had this one up once, "Who Blew more wood ? Isaac or Sandusky?" Tell me that's not funny...and sad.

I think the people massacred at K St would be okay with that frat exercising their free speech rights- wouldn't you? And if you don't see a difference in the military being ambushed (today's incident) and the military (Ohio Nat'l Guard) being ordered to fire it's no use to debate this further.

Here's another risky one. It's their trademark.

After being here as long as I have it's become pretty easy to figure out who to talk with and who to ignore. I've got no reason to root against LSU.
