Why are we not rated his fav any more on rivals. They have him looking real hard at tenn is this just a decoy are is he really thinking about going to smalltop. In other news this will be a huge weekend with 3 top 100 prospects and 4 more top 250 prospects would be great to get any of these guys. :geauxtige
Don't read into them. Keiland will be a Tiger, he may wait until all his visits or done or he might do it this week.
Keiland is now listed as a 5 star recruit on Rivals. It would be nice to get him in here because it's so hard for a back to play every down in the SEC, it would be great to have him and Alley back there and JV in the wings.
I would rather see kids not commit like this and be sure and take all their visits then make their decision. Rather than the way some of our current commits are doing. The Georgia linebackers and the maryland linebacker for example. They are only LSU commits in name only right now. Their commit doesnt mean a thing because they act like they have not made their decision. I say if LSU hears any comments to the effect that i am still thinking about so and so then they should ask then to decommit till they are sure. And say that we will be recruiting others at their position untill they are a firm commit and dont take other visits. In the meantime LSU is holding scholarships for these three thinking they are coming and could get hung out to dry. That is why i think it is a good policy to only take commits from solid kids not taking any other visits. You can get burned by out of state commits like this and i would rather have them not commit than to have them backstab and decommit at the last second and leave us hanging. I just have a bad feeling on all 3 of those linebackers. Doesnt sound like their word means anything at this point.
Wonder how often you get melicious events? By that, I mean, lets say a Louisiana kid, born and raised an LSU Tiger; born and raised to dispise 'Bama, "verbally commits" to 'Bama knowing all too well that he's never going to go there. He gets a scholarship being held for him at a school that he knows he's not going to and on signing day, signs with LSU--leaving 'Bama out to dry. Now, some fans might not think anything about it--maybe even laugh.... Now, I certainly don't know if that scenerio (not nec. LSU/'Bama--but in general) happen, but it's a possibility...
A lot of kids commit then if/when their home state team offers they change their minds and stay close to home. It works in our favor with La. players.
While your concerns are certainly legitimate, I would never ask a recruit to decommit, particularly if he is a top recruit. You may just be shooting yourself in the foot. Once he decommits, you have lost him. But I do agree with you that it does not mean a thing when a recruit has committed decides to make other visits. They are treated pretty good at those official visits, and you can't blame them for taking advantage of the visits.
KW is waiting on some kind of announcement from Bush and WHite... if both of them or maybe even just one of them leaves early, he is a Trojan.. if not, then the Tigers have the edge..
He's a top back in the country type player, make no mistake. Not only that, he's a solid person..works hard, doesn't party, doesn't act like a fool...but he won't go to USC because he says he wants to stay in the SEC.
