So GDF, what do you think is the pecking order for 1 loss conference champs and Alabama? 1 loss Ohio State 1 loss Penn State 1 loss OU 1 loss Oregon 1 loss Alabama 1 loss Utah And let's say 1 spot is left. Btw, that's my list in order.
that would be my list in order too,.. tho I think Oklahoma is better than Penn St,.. add the gophs, near the top, even with a loss to wisky, if they beat an undefeated Ohio State in the champ game odds are, Oregon will play Penn State in the Rose Bowl,.. I think minnesota will flop and fade away LSU Ohio State Clemson Oklahoma in the playoffs
Scared little kittens afraid of a Bama rematch Watch the GA at Auburn tilt this weekend. https://www.google.com/amp/s/thespu...ost-likely-college-football-playoff-teams/amp 17% chance my ass ...
Don't see that happening OU's defense is bad and Hurts is starting to fade, not sure they can get there. This of course puts me in a really shitty spot. OU in means the gumps are out, win for me because there isn't a device or words to measure how much I fucking hate the gumps. Fuck them. BUT if OU is in that means we play them. My wife and the rest of her family are all rabid OU fans and I'll have to deal with their bullshit but oh well, they got over it in '03. It took them until now but at least they got over it. BUT my son is a rabid LSU fan and has to hear all of the little gooners talk shit all day at school so being able to skull drag them would be sort of nice for him. BUT my son is a hot head just like his daddy and would almost surely get him into a fight. One I'd have to just chalk up to life lessons. I guess what I'm trying to say is anyone but OU or the gumps is my best case scenario
Perfect example of the argument against going to 8. The regular season games have to still mean something. If we are at 8 then the game this past weekend is really meaningless because win or lose both teams are getting in. There has to be a penalty for losing AND for scheduling weak ass bullshit like the gumps do. Can't pull a bitch move like that and still expect to garner sympathy. The gumps just need to fuck off.
Consider how Penn State arrives at being a 1 loss Big 10 Champ. A win over #2 Ohio State A win over Minnesota (avenging their only loss) Minnesota loses to Wisconsin, they can kiss their chances goodbye.
I've never understood that argument,.. with an 8 team playoff, the regular season games would mean everything,.. because being conference champions means you're in the playoffs,.. ooc games wouldn't much matter. the three wild card teams should be the best p5 champ game runner-ups, if you don't win your division you're not eligible,.. the big 12 needs to get there shit together and have a format like the others
Look at your own list! Gumps lose yet you still have them in. #4 no less. So what was the penalty for them losing that game?
fair point,.. I simply listed them from best to worst imo, I didn't use the criteria in my post above,.. using my criteria would make the champ games must see tv, unlike now
