Geez I need to proof read. I did it again on the last sentence. I said "I was beating on you" for the word NOT again.
did the Big 12 last year feature the greatest collection of QB talent in college football history? They had 3 QBs taken in the 1st Round of the last draft (RGIII, Tannehill, Weeden), which is the first time in history that 3 QBs from the same conference were all taken in the 1st Round... and then you can add Landry Jones to that... he would have been a 1st Rounder had he declared for the draft over the last 5 drafts, this is the 1st Round Draft pick QBs from the Big 5 conferences: BIG 12 Robert Griffin III, 2012 Ryan Tannehill, 2012 Brandon Weeden, 2012 Blaine Gabbert, 2011 Sam Bradford, 2010 Josh Freeman, 2009 SEC Cam Newton, 2011 Tim Tebow, 2010 Matthew Stafford, 2009 PAC Andrew Luck, 2012 Jake Locker, 2011 Mark Sanchez, 2009 ACC Christian Ponder, 2011 Matt Ryan, 2008 Big Ten none
That was pretty much my point. I think that LSU had the best secondary in the country but it IS up for reasonable debate. For one thing, a lot of people thought Alabama had the best secondary. For another, LSU got destroyed by West Virginia and even though I think the def coaches sort of screwed that up by playing soft, I doubt West Virginia threw for more yards against anybody the entire season. And remember when LSU played like 3 straight SEC games where the starting QB wasn't playing against them...Florida, Tennessee, and Auburn. The announcers even brought it up almost like the voodoo is working overtime this season.
