Yeh the offenses are so much better in the big 12... Anyone care to dig up the last 10 years record in head to head match ups - SEC vs. Big 12 ??? Anyone ??? Here I will help you out Over the past 15 years ('98 -'12) the SEC holds a 36-18-0 Last year the SEC was 3-0.....
Dude, I can't watch Big XII games. Their lack of effort on defense is sickening. It really makes a joke out of the sport. It's like watching Arena League or something. Pathetic.
My point exactly.......Thats why I do NOT underswtand what you were trying to say here. Thanks for proving my point fellas!! and Stacy!!
Wow, talk about a quantum leap. I for one said that the PASSING GAME was better in the Big 12. That does NOT include the running game, defensive play, special teams play, etc. What determines who wins games are those factors I just mentioned + turnovers + penalties + home field advantage + intangibles. Also, I dont' know the heirarchy of the matchups but if a lot of higher SEC teams happened to play the lower tier of the Big 12, the records between the conferences mean nothing. I for one think the SEC is better which has 0 to with the narrow topic of who has the better passing games and thus tests secondaries more. P.S. to anticipate the expected comment, yes we all know that what determines who wins games is who scores the most points.
I was attacking you buddy. I also live in Big 12 hell and I hear that crap all the time, the problem is biggest whipping boy of the SEC is A&M which is us now so my argument took a pretty big hit..... Now I cannot say much since two of their whipping boys are now SEC teams. Of course they picked up WVU which we know how that went last year.
I hear the same thing from my brother whose favorite team is LSU but had his sons go to A&M and he likes passing offenses and probably thinks running should be banned. He actually had the balls to say that the SEC should play more OOC tough games to prove they are the best. I of course mentioned LSU beating Oregon and West Virginia like a drum, Alabama beating Penn State like a drum, etc. I believe LSU plays TCU in 2013 so maybe that will shut up some fans from Texas. I expect LSU to wipe Tiger Stadium with the horned frogs. I wish next year's game was in Fort Worth and I would go to that one.
Funny literally one MISSED word changed the entire content of my message. Milesthebest I forgot to put the word NOT in my first sentence. I meant to say. "I was NOT attacking you buddy." Meaning I was beating on a fellow Tiger, just venting abut Big 12 types...
No problem, Texas Tigers....I saw that of course but the rest of the message gave me a hint about that. You and I pretty much agree about the inferiority complex of the Big 12 fans. Like I said, my brother is a fan of LSU and the Big 12 and I just laughed when he said last year, "to be considered better than Oklahoma State in my mind, LSU would have to beat them." You would have loved my response to him...."Well, I think they would have met in the NC game but see Oklahoma State couldn't put away a mediocre Iowa State team. Next time, tell Okie State to win the easy games."
