It's not official yet, but Sonny & Mike both say it's done. Story should be up soon.

Really like this! Anytime you can go into Florida and get someone especially one of the top players in Florida that is very good.

I haven't watched much film on the guy, but the coaches have loved this guy since they brought him in for camp over the summer. He's a good one!

I've watched every bit of film on the internet for this kid, he is an elite safety prospect. Super aggressive and always in the right place and always making the play with force.

I'm LOVING the way our secondary is shaping up for the future! :thumb:

Chad Jones and Hatcher look like pure safeties and McCray and Francois appear to be capable of tweener safety/corner's--both capable of playing the safety positions as well as a big nickel DB.

Our secondary--at least from the safety positions is shaping up much like our D-line is this season in which we can rotate players in and out keeping them fresh and not losing much--if any--in the talent department!

This, ladies and gentlemen, is how championships are won: DEPTH!!! Unbelieveable DEPTH!

As for the CB position, Jai is getting some valuable lessons this season and after taking his lumps against Kentucky, is only going to get better with experience. John Williams, Phelon Jones, Ron Brooks offer potential, but they are all unknown commodities at this point as they have all been redshirted and are preparing themselves for 4 years of extensive playing time come '08

Phelon Jones is NOT an unknown commodity. I have heard he will be in the fight for a starting spot at CB next year.

Have we seen him regularly in games over the course of the season?? No? Therefore=unknown commodity.

I didn't say he wasn't going to be solid for us (he's got great size and his high school film clips look impressive), but he still hasn't done any of it on the field for us yet.

I thought Jai would be a major contributor on defense for us this year--and he is--but you can't tell me that you were thrilled with his play against Kentucky--when he got the most meaningful playing time all season long.

Like I said, I'm encouraged by our POTENTIAL at the cornerback position for next season, but you'd have to be lying if you said you were nothing but confident considering we're losing 2 players (Chevis and Zenon) that have proven themselves for 3 seasons.
