@Tiger in NC Well, first let me apologize for implying racism in your thoughts/motives. No need to go there. And I'm sure you don't support the atrocities southern Democrats have historically inflicted on black Americans, but they were most definitely responsible, and their policies have certainly perpetuated their problems. Your question about kids born into poverty is a perfect example. This is the classic liberal talking point. No one wants to see kids of any race mired in poverty! The welfare initiatives of the 60's did nothing but ensure that those on welfare would for the most part stay there. Their parents become dependent on government handouts to the point that the "government safety net" becomes the comfy couch they snuggle into. But let anyone dare suggest welfare be cut, and they're accused of wanting to starve children! So the problem self perpetuates. It's not so much that black Americans have been "duped" as that they have been trapped in that self perpetuating cycle.

Which is really what is about. There was a direct push to give welfare to minority groups and it hasn't helped them. Just like socialism fails ever time its tried.

Most of us have kids right? Give them everything for 20 years and never make them earn it. What do we get? Antifa.....

O'Bannon: "I'm not making them have illegitimate children. I hope that's clear."

Sowell: "Oh, you don't have to do that... you simply subsidize it."

Sowell's always been one of those voices on the right I was talking about. The voices who try to influence black Americans from the left have been calling him an Uncle Tom for 40 years.

I hope this is sarcasm and you're not actually apologizing. He slings the word 'racist' around all the time, even though nothing could be further from the truth. Think he would ever apologize to you?

Not to me, he hasn't. And I think resorting to insults is a sign you know you've lost the debate.

Then explain why many follow a self stated marxist organization like BLM? You know, the one that explicitly says on their website that they're for the 'disruption of the Western nuclear family structure', which is the biggest reason for the problems the black community faces. They've been 'hoodwinked' by the idea of black lives matter, which of course is noble. It just that BLM political group cares nothing about black lives yet many blindly follow them.

I didn't think it was an insult and I don't think you have anything to apologize for. But that's just me, I guess.

The interesting thing about him is in his youth he was a Marxist. Just like the BLM folk.
