Look, my frustration is that this LSU team has glaring weaknesses that they can't fix and that I think are going to cost them at least one championship, if not two.

    (1) Kick and punt coverage. My word!

    (2) DL by themsleves can't get pressure on QB.

    (3) DBs and LBs get beat badly in coverage many times per game.

    (4) Flynn can't see wide open receivers half the time. The other half, he's getting heavy pressure and sacks.

    (5) Kick and punt coverage. Unreal!

    (6) Patrick Fisher punts the ball into the endzone almost every time!

    (7) Our punt return yardage this year is absurd. Just catching the ball is considered a success.

    (8) Kick and punt coverage. Holy wedge busters and tackle-missing gunners!

So call me a fair-weather fan or whatever you want. LSU had a chance to make a statement today. The only statement they made to anyone watching is that if Ole Miss doesn't get sloppy in the red zone several times, Rebels win. And LSU can be beaten by a team with a good OLine, decent offensive balance, and just okay special teams.

And in your opinion we should be 6-5.

I saw an LSU team struggling on defense that did all the right things to win tonight and win convincingly. Why don't you take your opinions to Alabama. They need second guesses more than we.

No, in my opinion LSU should be 11-0. If you're not concerned with the things on my list, then you need to check the contents of your Kool-Aid.

No, fair-weather fans cheer when we win and boo when we lose. You are booing when we win and happen to be the top-ranked team in the country. We call that an impossible-to-please fan. If you expect perfection from a football team, then college football is not your sport. :insane:

    Nonsense. What a crybaby. :bncry:

People like you make me not even want to come here anymore.

you people come here after close WINS, and complain because we didn't WIN good enough. you know, i can deal with that. This is a board made to discuss those things.

But after we WIN a game, by 17. you still come here to bitch.

keep in mind this is the same team that has NOT been blown out by 40. and the same that played us to overtime last year (always wake up for this big game)

how about this: is there ANY other team in this country that you would rather LSU be more like. Because last time i looked, LSU IS the team that others want to be like.

LSU IS THE REAL DEAL. LSU DOES DESERVE #1. if you want to complain where it is not needed, go elsewhere.

Look. I admit our dee didn't look great today. I think Dorsey's injury is keeping him from getting great pressure. And if you watched the slow motion replays to some of Ole Miss' QB's passes, he either threaded the needle or got real lucky. The coverage was there on many of the passes but the completion came with a fingernail width of being knocked down. Is that bad defense or perfect execution. Some of these lesser teams are executing perfectly against us. And many of these teams are using other's success to design plays against us. Pellini will have to address this. When their execution lessens then we take over. And yes we do have both offensive and defensive letdowns but we get it done. I'm not happy with the penalties. But I think we will get it done. Most of your posts seem to indicate doom because sometimes we don't get it done. If we were perfect, we could have collected the :crystal: 10 weeks ago. Since we're not, we'll have to watch and root the rest of the season.

Take your doom and gloom elsewhere.

Right. And tell me you didn't breathe a sigh of relief when the Gators were knocked out of contention for the SEC East title today.

And then tell me you won't be rooting like mad for the Vols to beat Kentucky next Saturday.

Why? Cuz the way the Tigers are playing right now, realistic LSU fans want no part of either Florida or Georgia.
