probably for $ reasons. They'd have 2 really highly paid QBs on roster if they broke the bank for him. They offered him $10 M a year over 2 years. Not like that's pushover money anyway. The reality is that he may do a Favre and not do anything next year. I'd be a little skeptical to give him the money bags, too. But I think he will end up back in Zona. Either there of the 49ers.
I've always thought that it was a huge risk for teams to invest in a guy who is seriously considering retirement. I mean, what's to say that, by the time the season starts, they don't regret the decision to return? I'm a huge Kurt Warner fan, but I couldn't justify throwing so much money at a guy whose heart is only half in it.
