Justice Scalia's argument against affirmative action takes ugly turn

    What Rush said was that the NFL was desirious of a black QB doing well. That was the truth and he got fired for saying it.

    there were about 26 starting qbs in the league who were not considered as good as McNabb at the time....McNabb was already a 3 time Pro-Bowler and had Philly winning many games with success in the playoffs to boot.....maybe he should have said something about Joey Harrington, that good looking white dude that the NFL wants so desperately to pan out in Detroit. That would have actually been legitimate.

    affirmative action necessarily creates situation where lesser qualified people are in position instead of more qualified people, and this sets them up for failure.

    So instead of having qualified blacks, you have unqualified blacks, and they don't do well.

    Scalia did not say that black people are stupid, he said that the system allows dumber blacks in that would normally be allowed in. And is true.

    The fact that McNabb was good had nothing to do with it. The NFL wanted him to excel. Brings in money from more black fans. The league was already full of good looking white QBs, both good and not so good
