Thank you so much for your kind words and well wishes, get your gear on for today's game

I was also pulling for them

Yep, I did the same thing. One inning I would think I wanted Arkansas to win and the next inning I would think I wanted Virginia

    They will be back

It was sad that one team had to lose that game

Great post, I agree with you

That is a compliment, I really didn't want to face Virginia again either

That does not surprise me about the team or its fans, just watching them at the game showed that they are classy people. Kinda reminds me of:lsup: fans and the Tigers.

I feel the same way, at least we have seen Arkansas before, I was worried about facing Virginia again. I don't really know their strengths and weaknesses, so I am glad that they lost for that reason alone.

    Yeah, I agree with you

I hope the Virginia fans that joined here stick aroun too. They were very classy people.

    Yep

Yeah, I think being a Miami fan in 96 would be bad too, of course that was a great year to be a LSU! fan.

Me too! Best of luck to LSU the rest of the way.

Very proud of my Hoos but will be pulling for you guys the rest of the way. I believe LSU has the best team in the tournament and my money is on you guys. I will always have a soft spot for LSU due to that butt kicking your football team laid on Vah Tech!>

I am so proud of both LSU and UVa--my allegiance is now officially split because my son will enter UVa Law this fall, so I wanted UVa to do well. I definitely think UVa was the other top team on our side of the bracket and it would have been much more of a test to play UVa than it is to play the Swine.

Too many people down here confuse UVa with VT because VT makes so much noise in football. My personal experience with VT and its fan base has been pretty dismal--reminds me a lot of West Virginia stereotypes, not Southern gentlemen like UVa. Although I doubt UVa football will schedule LSU any time soon, this LSU-UVa baseball rivalry could be fun--the coaches are both bright, young and charismatic. And for UVa, the team is young and everything good is ahead. I'm looking forward to seeing them in person next spring when I visit C'ville.

    GEAUX TIGERS! Go Hoos!

When you originally posted this, I thought to myself that football game was one of closest to a perfect game we have ever played in primetime. Well, you just witnessed the baseball equivalent. One of the best primetime performances for LSU baseball. Hopefully, we keep that up to the CWS National Championship!!!

It is a compliment! As we were looking forward to playing you again, we still think you were a little better from top to bottom and beating you twice in row would have been very difficult, ecspecially with the lack of experience our boys have. NOW we have a little experience and hopefully next year will not be as "aw" like. Good luck guys! I am a tiger fan the rest of the way!

ugh, that pretty much says it all, Cavahoo. what an excruciating loss.

Thankfully i've been a tiger fan all my life, so I took a lot of solace in last night's 14-5 pounding of the 'backs.

but it wasn't nearly as much fun as that LSU romp over the hokies in football. please, oh please, do that again. soon.

    GEAUX TIGERS!

Just wanted to point out that our UVA visitors have been some of the classiest rival posters I have seen. Congrats and thanks to the Hoo fans. You guys are welcome, in my book, to stick around as long as ya want. A Big Thumbs Up to you guys. Geaux Hoo's, ya got my support in the future.

I've been posting a little on thesabre.com the last two weeks, and I agree with all the props the Hoo posters have been getting here because they've been the same over there...Gentlemen with sports knowledge and the class to not demean others. Just like us, They're fans becaue they are alumni or students there; and all the others are just plain proud of their state, and their fellow Virginians. Also they're proud of the South where you don't have aquaintances you have real friends.

    The Hoos are our friends.

Well....since we beat them twice in a row in the CWS !!!!:hihi:. (Gloat)
