:geaux: :crystal: :helmet: Amen to that. For so long, I didn't know if I'd ever see LSU get to the level of an "elite program". The '03 NC put us at that level after those 45 long years. During the Hallman years, a winning season wasn't even in reach. Now we're National Champs twice in five years! My how things change.
Just always remember that the good ole days are right now! We're living in and seeing them first hand! This is truly the Golden Age of Tiger football. Look where we were in 1998 - 99. The Independence Bowl would have looked good then. Hold on tight to all of these memories and soak them in. The future does indeed look bright, but nothing is ever guaranteed. God bless our Tigers and Coach Miles.:geauxtige :champs: :LSU231: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal:

Yes, Saban can be credited for having recruited the fine seniors on this team, but NOOOO, he didn't develope them to play at the level they are at.

The NC win has been slowing sinking in, with the sweet aftertaste lingering on like some fine wine or food. Just wait till we rewatch the game.......it it like having multiple O.......(oops, );)

What? You haven't re-watched it yet? I watched it 1.5 times yesterday, and will watch the other half tonight. My six-year-old had to go to bed during the 2nd quarter on Monday, so she insists that we watch the whole thing together.

On a side note, it's "college week" @ her school this week, so the kids are wearing gear from their favorite colleges (i.e. their parents' colleges.) Sloane attracted the notice of a 3rd grade teacher who's an LSU grad, so now Sloane will be in the college assembly on Friday helping lead the student body in the Touchdown cheer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The teacher and I e-mailed back and forth all day about LSU.

I have to admit my head has been swimming in the sea of euphoria; most of my energy had been spent watching different news sources, and reading different writeups, not to mention checking Tigerforums several times per hour when I have computer access, and chatting with coworkers, etc. It is just a nice positive feeling seeing everyone being so happy around you!

It has surely been an up and down season; the pictures of Flynn kept on popping in my head: from the depths of defeat (Flynn sitting alone on the field after the Arkansas loss ) to the heights of holding the Crystal, with the sight of purple and gold confetti all around Flynn.

I am just holding back the recorded game to savor it when things cool off.:D

BTW, for the out-of-towners, today has by declared LSU Day by Blanco.......wear your purple and gold.

I have thought about both of those images several times since Monday night. The agony of defeat was so prominent in Flynn falling to the ground at the end of the Arkansas game, and the thrill of victory was equally poignant Monday night.

Yea, I got to the shop today and my partner (Gator Fan) slapped me on the back and said "Damn your boys did it didn't they?" then added }You guys did the SEC proud". I swear It took a minute as I realized I was actually getting goose pimples from the Tiger pride! My Team...My school, Man, I don't ever wanna lose this feeling. Can't wait to get my NC caps...gonna wear them everywhere! I wish I could give em all a hug and tell them how much us this means to us old old Alums. (Think they know?) Man those kids of ours are good. Really gonna miss our Seniors though!:LSU231:

The thing that really stands out and sets us apart from other "dynasties" of the past is the fact that Miles has been recruting quality players. Yesterday, I listened to Miles talk about his goal of 100% graduation and my heart definitely felt what he said. I'm an LSU alum and I'll always be proud of my accomplishments at this awesome university.

I think that as long as we are recruting quality young men who are willing to take the challenge both mentally and physically, LSU will always be a team to contend with and hopefull will never end up like the Florida universities and the like.
