I agree with you!! I think it's because we know that there is a heart that goes with the HAT! The fact that he had his chance to go to his dream job and he turned it down, no matter the way it played out, really made me buy into CLM (not that I needed any more). He's an emotional guy who's passion is shown verball and non verbally. Just look at all of the different avatar's and signatures that show CLM.

It's so great to be a Tiger, and yes, Les Miles holding the trophy seemed to be different than when Nick Saban raised it above his. At that time, we all figured Saban would be gone to Chicago in the next couple of days.

We were off by the NFL team and about a year.

By the way, a young teacher in our building grew up with Matt Flynn in Tyler!

03 was great because it had been so long. We came from nowhere and won it all.

I think this one's much better because we were so highly ranked all year. Took every team's best shot, Miles to Michigan crap. Yet STILL we're National Champions!

In 03 you could look at Saban holding the crystal ball and thinking to himself "look at me, I'm great, I did this by myself, can't wait to make more money somewhere else".

On monday while Miles was holding the trophy it was like "I'm so happy for the kids, they went through so much, fought so hard all year long, they deserve this."

And can I get an "Amen!" to this? You are SO right! It started when he went to Bama, now it has to be all the way gone.

By the way, I went over to the Bama Scout board yesterday to read what they were saying. Yep, believe it or not, they were giving Saban credit for this championship.

I don't know what is going on. I don't think it has hit me yet either. I haven't gone completely nuts like I did back in Jan 2004. Maybe it's because I am getting used to these BCS National Championships.

    YEEEEAAAAAAAAA
    BAABBBBYYYYYYYY!!!

 :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: and more to come.

I feel the same way this time. In '03, I dared to dream that we'd ever be up there again (in my lifetime, at least) since the last one was 45 years in the past. Now, I feel like anything is possible, and I expect to be back again, maybe this decade, maybe the next time it's in New Orleans, but regardless, we'll be back.

And if not, I've experienced two NC's!

Oh we'll be back. May be a couple of years, but we'll get there.

There are so many good things happening for us right now; 2 BCS titles, CLM is a great guy, top-notch recruiting classes, Miles hires great coordinators, so many solid players already on the team. CLM looks like a great coach to play for, etc.

As far as this thread goes ..... I don't know if it's completely sunk in for me yet. It may take a few more days.

We have reached the Mountain Top!!!
