Up until this evening it all seemed pretty surreal to me.. but while watchin the tube tonight, I caught myself with this smug grin on my face. Then later I look in my desk for something and see one of my ticket stubs from this year and broke out with a grin from ear to ear...This is a special time... I'm gonna savor it. What this team has gone through and endured in the last 3 seasons is simply nothing short of extraordinary. They've basically assaulted the record books, and brought the football program up to the next level time and time again in many categories.. and kept doing it no matter what obstacles they faced... I'm very proud of my Tigers! Ladies and Gentlemen, LSU has arrived. :crystal: :crystal:
Agreed swerved! We as members of the Tiger Nation need to soak up as much of this as possible and never forget the memories up to this point. Reflect on what a ride we've had, especially this year. We are LSU! . We have :crystal: :crystal: and :milesmic: . ------------------------------------------------------------- CLM 01/08/2008, "The Helmet does not win championships, the young man wearing that helmet win championships!"
I to felt that way last night, it didn't feel real. I tell you, after hearing the "Mikey and Black" story. It's almost Rudy-like, that makes me feel proud to be from Louisiana, and a Tiger Fan. I feel that sense of pride that our team just dominated the Nation in all of College Football. To see all the Trophies with Les, and know we are the true...all out Champion...is when it sunk in.
Agreed, I thought I was all alone here. At the end of the game I was still acting like it was just another game. It didn't sink in until yesterday afternoon when I rewatched the last few minutes of the game and the presentation of the trophy. Its still a bit surreal.
Wow, got back from the game yesterday emotionally exhausted. What an intense game, glad the fan next to me had some Advil. Its not going to be a very productive day at work today, I can tell. Thats okay, we all should take some time and enjoy this. Our future is bright but you never know, there are no guarantees. If this year taught us anything its that no team is going to be handed a NC, not even a team with its own network of talking heads pulling the wagon for them. You have to play hard and win and hope you have some luck along the way. Great to be Tiger Fan today and always !
Funny you should mention the bandwagon. My mother in law who lives in Ohio, send emails with picture of people doing that silly Ohio thing with their arms, brags about the Big 10 as a superior conference and let me know how OSU was going to win Monday night, just sent me an email asking me to that send her an LSU National Champions sweatshirt. I told her she needed to earn it by actually rooting for  . If shes on the bandwagon its pretty full at this point. :crystal: :geaux: :crystal:
I got in my car after the game and found myself pumping my fist and screaming yesssssssssssss at the top of my lungs. Im proud of this team and my school.:crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: :crystal: Lets do it again next couple of years, its not impossible.
This time it feels different, when Miles held the crystal I felt so happy for him and proud that he's our coach after all he's been through, all the doubters and critics...I'm sure he doesn't mind outsiders talking bad about him, but it's gotta sting when Tiger fans doubt him after all that he had accomplished prior to winning the :crystal: ...He was just so happy holding it, at one point I thought he was gonna cry...With all the criticism and doubters this one feels better that the 2003:crystal: . Or maybes is just like they say, the last one is always sweeter.:LSU231: :champs: :crystal:
