I couldn't agree more. Not sure if it's player development or if the players were as good as they were going to get when they got here. This happens sometimes.

But the "all that talent" argument doesn't hold water for this year's team. Not at this point.

Yes, there is speed, size, athletic ability and measurables.... but we have WAY too many holes on our 2 deep right now.

We've given up 75 points in 2 conference games. Plus 24 points to a Wiskey team with no passing attack.

    That's honest right there.

6-6 may be wishful thinking if we stay in that damn "I" formation against the good defenses we have coming. Our o line has been manhandled all year.

So, not to rain on the pity party but 7-8 yards avg on first down is pretty impressive. I think the 2 biggest factors with the players are youth and inexperience. Let's face it, raw talent can only get you so far. There are guys that have to step up that have all the talent so guys like DJ Welter who has really no great physical talent aren't playing all the snaps. The coaches trust DJ because of his mental game not his physical game, and if no one can man up and take roles like that you are going to see a bunch of Rudys out there clawing to hold on while all the talent rots away on the pine.

Should've dropped to the sun belt for a year. Maybe we only lose two there.

Haven't seen much of Welter's mental game. Seen him out of position quite a few times.

If we're relying on welter's mental game then we're in some seriously deep shit.

Gotta be a reason he is in there right? It damn sure isn't because he is more talented than Beckwith. I mean what else is there? Has the proverbial Les Miles dog house that Keiland Williams seemed to always be in returned?
