I think we can all admit, our LSU football team isn't very good this year. We're young and weak at QB, for the time being. We're not as good on the Offensive line as we thought we'd be. Not even close. We knew going into the season that we'd have a problem at DT. And we do. We've discussed the MLB position as much as possible. Our secondary has let us down a time or two in both conference games. Our Head Coach is stubborn. The play calling has been questionable and head-scratching. Our defensive coordinator has come under fire recently for the performances against the 3 good teams we've play. So let's face it..... we have 8 major problems. We're just not a very good football team right now. A lot has to be fixed in order for us to get to 7-8 wins this year.
From what I've seen, this team has a long ways to go from losing 41-7 at Auburn, to beating good teams like Bama, Ole Miss or A&M. Don't see it happening.
We can play spoiler and pull together and win a couple. moral victories do exist this year with growth and improvement.
I just don't understand the vast drop off. We lost players but were deep at those positions, with players having some game time from last year. I mean where is Rasco, Fiest, Lewis and Jones been. I had to check the roster to see if they were still on the team. These were the up and comers and nothing. As far as the O line, I thought anybody but Stud was an improvement, guess I was wrong. I know we are not outmatched in the size department, I've seen these guys in person and they are pretty big. I expected growing pains in the QB department, but we are stinking it up at every position. Even our RB position has disappointed me, I think LF goes down to easy, Magee has been under performing and it looks like the Williams kid is the hardest runner we got.smh
I don't think Les has that many tools in the tool box. I don't think 6 - 6 would be unrealistic based on what I've seen to date.
