Get a young unknown coach with the talent that is here , even a known caoch will lose next year , 3 games . So will a unknown coack. How about a coach who is already here ? Why not ?? I'd love to know who some of the big name coaches were. As well as exactly how Petrino blew the job interview.

 

Del Rio, an NFL head coach wanted the job last time but Skip wouldn't wait till he could finish the season to interview the guy. Whether or not he gets fired at the end of the season, Del Rio has won every year with a team with no QB at all and is in the much tougher AFC.

To me, the guy has to be at the top of the list over some of these other choices like Schiano. Let's see what Schiano does after his NFL caliber runningback leaves. And someone mentioned the Boise State coach? Come on man. Before I'd hire anyone like that I'd go hire Gary Gibbs from the Saints or the young offensive playcaller from the Cowboys.

I'd try to find a young NFL coordinator like Sean Payton was when the Saints hired him. 3 years ago, if LSU had thrown $2.5 mil at Payton they could have had him. Gotta be very choosy here rather than throw out retreads like Carr or Brooks.

 

Skip ain't gonna get caught with his pants down again. I've already gone on record as saying to remember, if Michigan offers Miles is gone.

I'll add to that.....about his replacement- Spurrier will be our next coach- no doubt.

I think the main question should be, who is going to run your defense after Pelini comes to Nebraska? Yeah, we Husker fans have never forgiven idiot Steve Pederson for letting Bo go and we want him back. In fact, in a poll for Big Red Wrap Up, Pelini had 57% of the votes, ahead of Turner Gill at 17% for the next Husker head coach.

I wonder how much consideration Crowton would get if Miles were to move on?

 

Brooks is now angling for the HC job at UCLA when it opens up this offseason. I think he was an assistant coach at UCLA at some point, but that must have been years ago. If he ends up getting that job, it will be because of his win against LSU.
