Just hiring a new OC won't be nearly good enough, unless:

I've heard that readiness myth before. Interestingly enough, they're usually talking about 3 guys. Russell, Dorsey, and Jackson, who interestingly enough are all Saban recruits. They were high profile recruits, so they're failures are under the microscope. But you don't hear about guys like Perry Riley, Ron Brooks, or Kelvin Shepphard...all lower-profile guys who are either starting or are major contributors. Riley has played himself into the heir-apparent at MLB for the Redskins if London Fletcher ever retires. Shepphard is a starter and I believe a captain on D for the Bills. Ricky-Jean Francois sees playing time in San Fran.

There are going to be more and more stories like that out of this years group. They're much more NFL ready collectively than most other schools. Mental acuity is largely on the individual. Russell's failures are mental. The physical talent is there. That's on him.

It's a shining example of outstanding coaching that Les and staff were able to get JR to play at his maximum potential on their watch, a feat none of the NFL coaches have been able to come close to accomplishing

I took a great deal of pride reading game threads on Raider forums when JR was their QB, reading comments such as:

"come on, JR, do it like you did at LSU"

Who cares what you infer. You were WRONG! You made assumptions and no matter how much BS you throw back.

    YOU were WRONG!

No she wasn't, he implied that Miles only plays guys based on how long they have been in the program. And Stacey pointed out that he was wrong and used the freshmen reference to illustrate her point.

He said nothing to the sort. He said he wants the Offensive coordinator to make the call. He said nothing about Les. Absolutely nothing!

Here ya go dude. Here's the OP stating that Miles must allow the OC to decide who the starters will be regardless of how long any player has been in the program...which clearly implies that, currently, Miles does NOT allow this.

You aren't even rant material. You're SUB rant material. Unreal.

    More on Cam:

Cameron became known as a top flight offensive coordinator while at San Diego from 2002-06 when he coached quarterbacks Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers, who each were selected to Pro Bowls. The 2006 Chargers led the NFL in scoring with 30.8 points a game and became one of only 28 teams in NFL history to average 30 or more points a game. In 2004, Cameron's offense averaged 27.8 points a game for third in the NFL, and he was named offensive assistant coach of the year in the NFL.
Under Cameron as offensive coordinator with the Ravens, Flacco became the Ravens' all-time leading passer with 13,816 yards and 80 touchdowns in his first four seasons from 2008-11. Flacco's 44 wins over that span are the most by a starting quarterback over the first four seasons of a career in NFL history.

2009. alabama with 11 minutes left needs a p peterson injury and a great play call by jim mc to come from behind in tuscaloosa on a great play by a special player (j jones).1st title for saban. 2011 lsu defeats alabama 9-6 in tuscaloosa on the way to a perfect regular season only to have 11-1 alabama politic themselves into a rematch in which any sports psycholgist will tell you was a no win situation for lsu! 2012 lsu clearly was the stronger team but alabama wins the game in the last minute due to horrible offensive playcalling and saban goes on to win his third title! my point is the difference in these 2 programs over the last few years has been on the offensive side of the ball both in qb development and playcalling. kragthorpe did a great job in his limited role working with lsus qbs but was not able to fulfill the role he was hired for. this has now all changed! and i really feel the balance of power will now shift back to lsu! i dont feel alabama will be able to replace jeff stoutlands ability to coach olinemen and now lsus staff is really first class! adam henry and coach raymond have proven themselves to be great additions and now the circle is complete with this addition of cameron who will not allow les to micro manage "his" offense and this class of 27 signees who in my opinion may be les best yet at lsu!!! god i cant wait to get my chance to shut these gumps up once and for all! it wont be easy god knows alabama is reloading too but les has done such a great job and has had to butt heads with the florida gators with urban meyer and the tebow years, cam newton, alabama, petrino and arkansas, and the never ending gaunlet of the greatest run by any conference in the history of cfb!! you know hes taken his lumps but now i really believe its now our turn you sec sobs! louisiana high school football is at an all time talent producing high! man the lhsaa is cranking out great players and were getting them all!!!! and were now a national recruiting powerhouse! tiger fans the best is yet to come! hang on its gonna be a great run!!
