Top 3 in the country if he wins out...which would be somewhere between Stoops and Saban...or right about $3.5 mil a year. Weis is second highest paid. Of course, Saban is HIGHEST paid!!
here is an article in the advocate that has some info on CLM's current salary and what Chancellor O'Keefe and AD Bertman are talking about as far as pay increases and contract revisions. http://www.2theadvocate.com/sports/lsu/featured/11634011.html?showAll=y&c=y
If LSU wins the SEC regardless of what else happens I would be suprised he he doesn't get to 3.5 mill+.
That is the key....with a loss to Ar-kansas or in the SECCG, timing becomes a lot less of a factor in this issue....of course that wont happen though
Sure, that's the thing. It's actually kind of funny. If Miles loses, his Michigan decision becomes much easier, if UM wants him. But if he runs the table, and his contract raise kicks in, then it becomes different. Michigan will have to gift-wrap at least 20 million to get him.
I'm not sure money is a big issue with that though. I'm sure UM will come up with some cash to lure a top notch coach but I think Miles will leave for less than the going rate.
The only school other than LSU Miles would be interested in coaching is Michigan. Any other school can forget it.
I don't think Les is interested in any other schools either, that was not the topic of discussion. The thing was what OTHER SCHOOL THOUGHT they had a shot. I think it's NONE, however apparently there is someone out there saying that someone other than UM will make a run. I think they are wasting thier time as does everyone else on the forum. Beings the jerkwad on the radio wouldn't say what school it was, I was just trying to find out if anyone else had heard any of this.
