Its a great place...where loggin in is like a doorbell ringing and you can't wait to see who is there and what they have to say...it makes being away from the homeland a bit more tolerable Here's to a happy and healthy New Year!
I'm glad you all enjoy my posts and my forum. I'd like to thank my parents, who stood behind me for every post, it wouldn't be possible without them. I'd also like to thank all my friends. Thank all of you for nominating me poster of the year. Merry Chirstmas and happy holidays!
:geaux: :crystal: :helmet: Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody!! I haven't been on very long, but everyone has been great and I enjoy reading and sharing opinions and love of the Tigers. Take care, God Bless and Geaux Tigers!!!!:geauxtige :champs: :LSU231:
One of the best posts I have read in a long time, I feel the same way as you do. :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:
I think for all of us who have left the State and live elsewhere this is a place that brings us back to what we miss the most. I was still single when my company moved me out here to the Bay area and i didnt know a single person here. At first i didnt post much i just read others and it made me feel better . Gradually i would post something and got the courage to post a topic. I have had my bad posts and sometimes been a little too harsh but have hopefully become a little less confrontational as time goes by. I will on occasion still bark loud and have strong feelings on certain topics. There were some lonely times before i met my wife and through her made some connections that we go out and do things together. I didnt realize how lonely a person could be until that time and i found Tiger forums. It definatly helped during that time and i have never met any of you outside of talking on the forums but we do all share a common bond of our Love for LSU. I still love Tigerforums and it makes me feel a part of home. Thanks to all of you on the forum for your friendship and giving people away from home a connection back. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
You're a champ in my book and we all have our peeves. Merry Christmas you guys. Special shout out to col reb who called me at home tonight. Enjoyed chattin and nice to put a voice to the name- you're a good man we must meet one day. :thumb:
Man I agree with this, I went home for thanksgiving. I missed it so much, the food, my family, my grandmother. This place makes me a little closer to home with the rhetoric and many things that people say here. I do miss home during the holidays. The corn and squash dressing with crawfish. The gumbo thats made the day after Christmas is a tradition at my grandmothers. Watching the bowl games with my family. Thanks TF.:geaux:
TF is just simply awesome. I've gone over to tigerdroppings to check it out and it's nowhere close to what we have here. We have some of the most intelligent posters you will find on the web. People with passion, with opinions, with true love for their team. In the end, after the smoke clears from all the bickering, we are all one big happy family. I came on in Nov of 03, just in time to drop some BCS knowledge in that magical LSU season. Now we're back at it again. It's a special time for LSU fans all over the world (and believe me, we are EVERYWHERE). And to think we're actually having an effect on JB's life, in his hour of need. Now that's powerful. I am glad to be a small part of such a special group of people. Thank you TigerForums for helping me cope with being away from home. Thank you, indeed.
It's these types of threads that make me forget about all the "trolls" or the threads created by irrational "haters".... It's been 7 years since I left Louisiana and I know deep down inside, I'll NEVER get over being homesick. My wife, who was born and raised in New England (Conn. and Mass.) LOVES going down to Louisiana for visits...but for her, it would be "culture shock" to actually live there.....I understand it, truely I do...but it's said in a way...
