I've been on this forum for only a few months but it feels like a lot longer. All you guys have been awesome, you guys make me feel like family, and I hope I get to meet with some of you guys someday. In the meantime, this is the closest thing to home I have on the net. Unfortunately I can't make it back home for the holidays this year, I dearly miss the bonfires out on the levee, the smells floating out of my Mom's kitchen, the little crawfish, little bottles of tabasco and small bags of red beans and rice hanging as decorations on our tree. and this year I understand those little mini LSU helmets have been added. Last but not least, all my people gathering around for food and fun Christmas day. Yea, I'm a little homesick as you can tell. Thank you all for helping keep my heart in Cajun country. God bless you all, and may you have a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year. phlashman (Brad) Jacksonville Fl.
same to you, and same to everyone else, also. this is a real cool place and i'm glad to be able to interact with all of you guys and gals. :geaux::geauxtige:lsup:LSU!
Same here. Home sick is an understatement for us as is most may take it for granted. The holidays particularly cause a good bunch of coonazz know how to sit around and doo nuthin and have the best time duin it. You all fill a huge void inaddition to the tiniest little LA. thing most never thought there would never be. BOUDIN AINT EASY TO FIND IN CALIFORNIA! Phlash is a great cook as he is always there when I am limited to my favorite "CO CO Pebbles". That said dinner this very day at phlashes house for everybody including the open bar. I will bring the brass pole and thangs just might get a little festive. Thanks Phlash as you heart is much bigger then you mouth. Cant wait for next year! :thumb:
* group hug * Yea, I appreciate TF ever since I found it. I've been in Houston since 87, twenty years now... It's my adopted home, and its been good to me. But I never had a way to find out what was really going on with LSU football. After the internet was invented by Al Gore, I started using google and found this place. It has scratched my itch for LSU news, Louisiana reminiscing, and the good spiritedness of my cajun heritage (provided you don't pi$$ us off). Thanks, and Merry Christmas to all, and a Happy New Year (with National Championship!!!) :crystal:
My wife is from Lutcher and she gets excited talking about those bonfires. Glad you are enjoying the forum. We try hard to make it hospitable for everyone. ... or we hardly try at all.. I forget which it is.
I'm glad you all enjoy my company, I'm sure there are even more who feel the same but are too shy to say so.
Merry Christmas everyone. Everyone's opinion counts. It's my privilege to read yours. May the Lord bless you in 2008.
All TF members, Merry Christmas and may you have a Great New Year. We all have our differences (opinions ) but we all have one common thing, our love of LSU. :LSU231: :crystal: :geauxtige
