Wow that is impressive considering the pathetic couple of years you guys have been having!!! You keep that up and eventually it will stop being impressive and move more towards SAD!!!
A little banter and a challenge to LSU and you get upset. I thought LSU fans could handle a debate without gettin petty. Clair -- this year you are correct. I have to pull the history card to win this one
Just telling you that that attitude isn't taught in the book "How to Win Friends and Influence People". You want petty, go visit soonerfans.com
Huskers 5 LUS 0 Tie 1. The one tie was 6-6 in Baton Rouge in 1976. 70,000+ attendeded the game. Meanwhile back in Lincoln, 75,000+ were selling out every game. I am not here to make anyone mad. I am here to discuss, debate, College Football and when you start to call out the Big XII or Nebraska, I will react.
Do you honestly believe that there are 53,211 people in that stadium (which holds 77,497)? That would mean it was 67% full. That stadium isn't even half full. The attendance for the game was listed as 53,211 because that was the number of tickets sold, not the number that attended the game.
John, I don't know how many actually attended the geme. I was playing devil's advocate and reacting to th SEC "superiority complex". It's tough to make my argument this year, but for me it's all in fun. Obviously for others I am the devil...:rolleye33: :rolleye33:
Nah, don't give him too much trouble...he has been pretty good so far! Plus we need a resident husker fan!
LSU and Nebraska have met twice during the regular season, in 1975 (Lincoln) and 1976 (Baton Rouge). The other four times they met were in two Sugar Bowls and two Orange Bowls. Anyway, when LSU went up there to play in Lincoln in 75, we lost 7-10 to a Nebraska team ranked #6 in the country. Not bad considering LSU was unranked the entire season and finished 2-4 in the SEC. Nebraska's stadium at the time had a seating capacity of 73,650. In 76, when Nebraska came to Baton Rouge, they were ranked #1 in the country. 70,746 people showed up at Tiger Stadium to watch the game (only the game against Bear Bryant's #15-ranked Alabama team drew a bigger crowd). Unranked LSU tied Nebraska 6-6. Not bad considering that LSU would finish the season unranked and with a 3-3 record in the SEC.
