If this picture isn't photoshopped than this is pathetic. For the championship no less!! HAHA :crystal:
Well, thats about typical for the ACC championship game. I've lived in Jacksonville since 1990 and unless FSU, GT, Clemson or someone like thats in it. Theres just very little interest. Hell, they "give" tickets away most of the time. Id bet most of those fans are VT. BC must not have a very good fan base. :tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye::tigereye:
I agree. That looks like some the crowds I used to see when my cousin was playing at D-III Millsaps. (Yes, the same Millsaps that had the 15 laterals perpetrated against them to lose earlier this year).
Probably NOT photoshopped. I watched the game on TV and that's pretty much how the stands looked. Sad and embarrassing. With support like that, I wonder if either of those teams would be desirable for a big bowl? I think, though, that VT would travel well for a bowl game. ldskule:
The main problem is the location of the ACC game. If it were in Charlotte, I'd say there would probably be a lot more BC fans there....and it would be more centric to all ACC teams. Jacksonville is nice and all, but it would be like having the SEC championship game in Phoenix. The fan base just isn't going to travel that far. Not to mention, the ACC Championship hasn't garnered much interest since year 1. It just really isn't that interesting.
You think they show recruits that photo ? "Come and play for an ACC Championship and have five cheering for us to win"
The ACC needs to be like the MAC and Conferene USA and those other small conferences and just play the Conference Championship at home. I mean with crowds like that it's down right disrespectful to the entire conference. Another funny thing to consider is that VTech still had an almost legitmate chance to play in the NC if LSU were to lose the SEC, they did finish 3rd in the BCS!!
