Gary this morning or wait until Monday morning???

I think I would fire him by saying Gary has decided to move on to other opportunities this morning!

The lack of offense in the first 1/2!

    No new nothing!

    No RS!!!

    No running game!

    No RR!

I say fire him immediately. The bowl game's over, so there's no great need to carry dead weight until next week.

Fire him now for the sake of recruiting

The season is over and now it’s time to focus on recruiting. Ask yourself, if your son was a top offensive recruit would you want him playing for Miles and Crowton? After seeing how LSU used Sheppard and Randle this year, the answer has to be "no". Our team regressed substantially this year offensively and that affects recruiting.

I think our chances of getting top recruits, especially on offense, goes down if we keep Crowton and the current o-line coach. Players must have confidence in their coaches and I just don’t see it with these clowns running our offense.

    Support our troops!:usaflagwa

I think it would be great if the team moved in another direction wrt Crowton. I agree with most that Crowton does not have the right stuff. CGC seems to try to force players into his system rather than mold an offense around the strengths of the players at hand. Additionally, I think his offense is overly complicated and hard for QBs and WRs to master.

Having said that, I don't think Miles will fire Crowton. Just as he did not fire Mallory and Peveto, if a change does occur it will not happen immediately and the change will happen with tact.

Lastly, I am asking thios question not to defend Crowton or Miles but because I am kind of ignorant on what NCAA offensive coordinators are available and would fit LSU. What offensive coordinators do you think would fit the team?

Re: Fire him now for the sake of recruiting

I don't know why but I didn't think I would see the same same yesterday!

same same is bad!! I love LSU and will always support them but this offense is hard to explain!

You are going to tell me we couldn't have worked in some dump passes to RS on that field! I am shocked this morning just thinking how we have a big Bowl and our #1 recruit that we did not red-shirt and was not hurt didn't touch the ball!

    it just can't be explained

If it were me I would fire him and Stud this very second to send a strong message to recruits that LSU is committed to excellence from its coaching staff and doing everything in its power to give our players a chance to succeed on the field, and will not tolerate failure from its coaches. However, I also know there's a better chance of my parents winning the Powerball this weekend than this scenario playing out. As far as a replacement goes, I think the AD would be wise to, at the very least, consider Mike Leach and put out feelers for his situation with TTech. That's a window of opportunity that could close fast, but at the same time we'd have to be very careful not to let the allegations hang over our program.

I'd fire both of them immediately. Why wait? Yesterday was final proff that the offensive situation isn't going to get any better as long as Crowton is still here. We had a month to work on things and absolutely nothing changed. I even noticed that every time Trindon was put into the game he got the ball just like it's been all season. All a defense has to do is notice when #8 comes in and just watch him and ignore everything else. Makes it pretty easy for them huh?

Cliff I am not sure why but I would wait till Monday morning calling him in then. I am sure Crowton is worried this weekend and Miles is thinking it over. I just hope this week if not sooner he is gone b.c the man has got to go. Now I would do something like you said saying we have decided to move on etc etc. Really the best sitution for all parties is for Crowton to step down on his own but he wont do that.
