Houston Bates was offered but not positive on the position.

I would say it was probably LB but I will get confirmation.

BTW, Chase Williams didn't look great at the camp and I doubt he gets an offer.

I would think so but he wants some time for it to settle in. I would assume it could come after getting home and discussing it with his family. It is not a matter of who at this point but when.

Yeah, I'm pulling for Hurd, too. He's working out with a chip on his shoulder right now because he feels "overlooked" by many. I hope this doesn't hurt our chances with him.

    Check his thread.

No chip from what I can tell. He knows he could have played better because the staff noticed he was trying to play with a hip injury. The kid is as motivated as ever after talking with the staff all weekend.

Just read it. Thanks for the update.

I hope he turns out to be one of the best CB prospects for us and fits what the coaches are looking for at that position because he'd be a spark in the locker room, huddle, classroom, and the field.

What he may lack in height, he makes up in heart and aggressiveness.

Les Miles obviously knows how LSU fans are pulling for him because he told Hurd that he has a huge fan base in Baton Rouge already.

That's good to hear. He has quite a few fans here in Houston, too.

I'm not a proponent of "courtesy offers", but Hurd is making a strong case. Lol. If this young man can connect with fans without being on the team, imagine how it'd be to have him coming out of the tunnel with a uniform on and walking the campus along with RS, Vinson, Reid, etc. Our team is not only very talented, they have great character. Winning and Recruiting the Right Way! Proud to be a Tiger!

[You're doing a very good job with the updates, bhelm. Thanks for sharing the info with the rest of us.]

One of Alabama's top prospects, 4* S Jarrick Williams, stopped by the camp this week to meet with the coaches and players. He had a great time.

He is the #8 S in the country.

Rivals lists him as the #4 Safety. He's comparable to Reid.. with Reid having slightly more upside, I think.
