This is another game against a team on the road that we absolutely destroyed last year. Florida is going to be hungry, and if someone in the top 10 loses, it will be the first of the top 10 match ups for LSU this season.

Jumpin ahead to Florida - Did Mett pass or fail his first road SEC game? I say he failed, now he had help, that O-Line is not very good at pass blocking. Mett is slow to find his receiver & he is slow to deliver the ball (lack of football instinct). Yes Mett can throw the ball a country mile but so could JJ. I say he is gonna have to be a lot quicker to release the ball for this team to be a big winner. Once again we are connecting on about 35% of our passes in cruical passing situations (sound kinda like last year?)

Mettenberger is far more accurate as well. Jefferson couldn't hit water if he fell out of a boat.

Mett will grow as the season progresses, as well all of the other young guys. We'll compete for a major bowl but next years team will be much more experienced, mature and dominate.

Gonna have to reload at safety, and defensive end next season. Do we all agree that Mingo, Montgomery, and Reid will all enter the draft?

Not sure about Reid if he keeps blowing past guys... Honey badger will return next season he might help sway a few to stay.

Considering that it was his "first SEC road game", I'd say he passed. He made a couple of mistakes early, but took care of the ball a lot better when the pressure was on. Considering the pass rush that you alluded to and AU playing out of their minds in coverage, I think he still fared pretty well. He even connected on a somewhat awkward misdirection pass to essentially win the game for us.

I think a lot of people are underselling how difficult it is for an inexperienced QB to go in & be successful in that type of environment, especially when the rest of the offense is failing to do its part.

If we lose, and it is a close ball game, we would likely still be in the NC by winning out.

I think we win a close one with D! Did anyone see Kentucky run on them the entire first half. That was the first thing their coach said at halftime.
