Are you on an athletic scholarship? I think that eases the costs of things. Most kids most....that are good enough to get a scholarship at D-1 end up in JUCO because of grades. Some because they are just overlooked talent wise but not many. QB is probably the position that transfers the least from JUCO to D-1.

I would rather a JUCO QB that has 2 years starting albeit against far less competition than some kid from a Texas high school with one year on the bench for a D1 school.

TT I agree that QB is the position that transfers the most due to the difficulty of learning the playbook and the increased compeition from that level to the next. But if we could find that kid who is accelerating above others by a wide margin and give him a chance to compete it might give us an opportunity to field a competitive QB next year. Just looking for answers.

Anybody who didn't see this coming had their head in the sand, myself included.

I just don't think another new guy entering his first year in the system and probably much less talented than our young guys is the answer. Plus by the time he learns the system his eligibility is done. Any other position yes, but just not at QB. JMO

    LSU simply cannot afford one.

In the spring we will have FIVE scholarship QBs on the roster:

    Shepard
    Garrett
    Hatch
    Lee
    Jefferson

(OK, I'm not sure if Garrett is coming in the spring or fall, but the other 4 will be there)
