He's projected to play DT. A little short at 6'2" possibly to play O-line. We like our O-linemen 6"5" and above these days.
Parso if you had the privilege to watch Josh play you would be saying, "How in the he!! is this kid not at least a 4 star right now!" He is that good. He struggles somewhat against power running teams because he is so quick that they do hard counts on him and he has a tendency to jump offsides. Against Benton and Franklinton in the playoffs he did it a lot, too much in fact. But, he also times a couple of them against Benton too and MAN did he disrupt things. If he continues to work out hard and trust me, THEY WORK OUT HARD AT THE STROP, he will develop better strength and be ready for his freshman year. He reminds me of Drake Nevis but he doesn't have his strength, YET.
I haven't heard anything about T-Bob's development since he got on campus, but right now I think Downs will be a Center.
true, i think this kid could be moved to center but will be given first shot at DT, unless we sign a couple of stud DTs
OH, he will be awesome on either side of the ball. I like the idea of him playing center. I don't recall LSU every pulling their center much, but this cat can and would get to the 2nd level with ease. Center is the perfect fit as I think about it in X's and O's terminology. He can just time his own count!!! The kid loves to jump the snap, so he could just jump his own snap!!!
i have seen this bastrop in action at least 8 times the last 2 yrs and i was raving about this kid on this board last year...i would say you have to give this kid a shot at DT first cuz thats were he impresses me most but who the hell am i too say.....the kid is big and is very quick off the ball
