Please forgive me for not keeping up with the aftermath of the Shady's incident that drew more attention than it should have last year. I can't recall hearing anything about what happened to Josh Johns but recall that he was a Soph last year but is not on the roster now. Was he a scholly guy? Did he get kicked off the team? Johns crossed my mind yesterday as I was listening to a sports radio show in Houston (790am) and one of the hosts (Lance Zerlein) claimed a trusted source from LSU told him that JJ was not directly involved in the fight but (more or less) took the fall for one of our defensive stars that was more directly involved (the guy doing the kicking?). Not sure who he was referring to or if his information is credible. My impression of Zerlein previously was that he's a mostly trustworthy guy.
He had a neck/head/back injury that he couldn't overcome and had to quit football. I don't remember exactly what it was, but it was determined last season.
